Air-Sea Interactions

Description: One of my keen research aims is to understand the processes that lead to heat exchange between the atmosphere and the ocean. This exchange is crucial for predicting climate change effects such as rising sea levels and carbon uptake. The Southern Ocean is the most critical region for this exchange. Still, current climate models and numerical weather predictions show significant uncertainty stemming from a lack of understanding of air-sea interactions during storms and in areas with strong ocean gradients. Addressing this issue is challenging due to the difficulty of simultaneously measuring the ocean and lower atmosphere.
